The good news is that you can reduce the risk of developing a severe COVID case if you’re keeping your blood sugar levels controlled and continuing to take your medications and insulin exactly as prescribed.
Certain heart conditions including pulmonary hypertension, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and congenital heart disease could also increase the risk for severe COVID-19 symptoms. As previously mentioned, you need to make sure you’re taking all your medications in order to prevent becoming severely ill and keeping symptoms under control as much as possible.
