“Your home will be given a value on a price-per-square-foot basis,” Benjamin Ross, a real estate agent and property investment specialist. “It will be measured against other comparable homes in your area to establish a value.”
You should know that buyers take into consideration the rule of livable space. “Adding tons of upgrades and unlivable space can equal a big loss come sale time,” Ross said.
