This man is the one behind what could be considered one of the biggest internet empires of the modern world, as Brin and his partner, Larry Page, have co-founded Google. Yes, these two are behind the one search engine that has taken over most of the world and whose services keep having a chokehold on us. Brin is considered the 7th richest person in the world, and his estimated net worth of $118 billion makes him the wealthiest on our list.
As a result, this also makes him the man who could buy the most cities on our list, with a whopping 26 cities! This includes, as you expected Chicago and Philadelphia, only this time their combined debt wouldn’t even reach half of Brin’s net worth. It is outstanding just how much money he has in net worth, at the young age of 48.
Leonard Lauder
The chairman emeritus of The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (yes, this is the full name of Estée Lauder) is one of the two sole heirs to the company, and his $32.3 billion estimated net worth makes him the 44th most rich man in the world. With this, he could buy 5 American cities out of debt, with Philadelphia still reigning as the most expensive one to cover.
This would still take just about half of Lauder’s wealth to do so. But with an empire in the cosmetics industry, we are sure the 88 year old man and his brother will keep making even more money as time goes on.
