Can Elephants Actually Jump?

As the world’s largest land animal, weighing several tons, elephants are simply too heavy to jump. Their bone structure prevents them from bending their legs enough to push themselves off the ground.

Elephants do not have natural predators so they did not need to be able to jump to improve their chances of survival. Elephants do not even like standing on two legs, although they can be trained to do so.
