When you think of ways to make cash out of trash, selling aluminum cans is probably the first thing that comes to mind. It’s as simple as that, and according to the Aluminum Association, “Americans earn nearly $1 billion a year from recycling aluminum cans”.
However, it’s important to understand that you’re probably not going to become rich from selling aluminum cans, as you need about 34 cans to equal a pound, while the national average is $0.50 per pound.
Even so, you can earn some extra cash while also doing a good deed for the environment, so I guess it’s a win-win situation.
