Let’s be honest, no matter who you are, big or small, old or young, we are all afraid of something. Whether it be flying (pteromerhanophobia), heights (acrophobia), spiders (arachnophobia), enclosed spaces (Claustrophobia), killer zombie clowns (kinemortophobia and coulrophobia combined) or just Larry, the creepy from accounting (Larryphobia???), fear has helped us throughout our evolution and rise to the top of the food chain.
Although an unpleasant and distressing emotion, it warns us of impending danger, whether real or imagined. You might find another persons fear of spiders somewhat irrational, as you happen to love those hairy little venom injecting, silk spinning arachnids. Obviously, we are not all the same, but some out there have phobias that even the most understanding and empathetic among us would have trouble wrapping their heads around.
So, lets have a look at some of the more bizarre phobias people suffer from and if you happen to have a phobia of lists of bizarre phobias, then this list is not for you.
