The Rock just announced that he and his family have tested positive for COVID-19. He made an Instagram video on this topic, letting his followers know that he, his wife Lauren, and his two daughters Jasmine and Tiana have contracted COVID-19.
He shared with his fans that this was the most difficult thing he and his family had to endure, mentioning that he had gone through a lot of challenging times throughout his personal and professional life. He and his wife experience a more severe form of COVID-19, while their two daughters recovered pretty quickly. Jasmine and Tiana experienced minor symptoms, a little sore throat that lasted only a few days.

The Johnsons began developing symptoms a few days after their meeting. He shared that those friends are now “devastated” knowing that they were the ones who passed them the virus. Especially after months in quarantine and a lot of time spent indoors, it’s normal to feel the desire to connect with close friends and family members, but situations like this show us why it’s so important to limit any type of gathering as much as possible.
Even though he doesn’t blame his guest for contracting the virus, he realized how important it is to be healthy and safe, saying that from now on he’ll be super careful and think twice before having friends over. He also mentioned that greater discipline is needed, suggesting that the people that want to visit their family members and friends should get tested before doing so.
He also urges people to wear a mask, to wash their hands, and social distance as much as possible. Even though you feel like you’re doing everything in your powers to stay safe, this is a highly contagious virus that spreads very easily. He advised people to boost their immune system and try to live a healthy life.
Dwayne shared that both his family and the friends that visited them were very careful, disciplined and followed all the safety measures needed to avoid the virus, however, they still got it.
