Flamingos bend their legs at the ankle, not the knee
They fundamentally stand on tip-toe. Flamingos have two main joints on their leg, the one that’s more visible and bends backward it’s not the knee, that’s the ankle. Their knees are closer to the body and are hard to see because they’re covered by feathers.
