According to a 2018 study by International Living, a small valley near Volcán in Panama has received the distinction of being the world’s healthiest place to live in. The region called Shangri-La Valley is home to stunning scenery, low living costs, and a much longer life expectancy than the surrounding areas.

With that being said, according to the ranking, the healthiest areas of the world have some common factors: a warm climate, an active social scene, healthy food, and a slower pace of life that results in less everyday stress.

The ancient Egyptian pharaohs were considered to be literally divine. The word pharaoh itself means “great house,” as in God ‘s palace.
