Dining at a restaurant is still allowed, as long as it is outdoor, and you’re keeping the distance from others. Therefore, dining on the terrace is considered a pretty safe activity, as there is enough space for the coronavirus to disperse into the air, you just need to make sure the tables are spaced well apart.
According to Virginia Tech Professor Linsey Marr, a leading coronavirus expert who studies how viruses circulate in the atmosphere, it would be recommended to only go to a restaurant if there is a nice breeze, adding that “it’s uncrowded, and no one is any closer than 10 feet away.”
#Do: Say YES to outdoor adventures!
You can still enjoy some time outside the house, you just have to make sure you take into consideration all the safety measures. According to a June article published in the medical journal Jama, it’s safe to go out for running, biking, hiking, and camping, as these are considered low-risk activities, as long as you don’t get in contact with many people and maintain social distance.
Additionally, walking in a park is not the safest activity out there because parks usually get crowded, but if you avoid close contact and keep your distance from other people, and don’t breathe in other people’s faces, you’re all good.
