Not long after the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) announced that the benefits of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine outweigh the risks on April 23, the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) started advising vaccine providers to use the Jenssen vaccine once again.
According to Cara Christ, MD, director of ADHS, as the pause taken out of an abundance of caution is now over after 11 days, Arizona will join its federal partners by urging people to get vaccinated with whatever vaccine is available for them.
He also wanted to inform its citizens once again that all vaccines that are available for use in the United States are safe and effective, including the Johnson & Johnson one.
