You’re not tipping enough.
Back in the day, most people used to tip 10 percent for bad service, 15 percent for good service, and 20 percent or more when you were fully satisfied with your service. However, times have changed, and now the appropriate tip is 20 percent, minimum, according to the professional etiquette coach and author of Manor of Manners.
If tipping 20 percent or more seems crazy to you, make sure not to take it all out on your server, who practically depend on those tips to make a living. As Parker has added, frugal and cheap are not the same thing. Remember that the next time you dine at a restaurant.

Most of these are common courtesy to anyone who has common sense. Granted, that is becoming more and more rare with each generation. However, not making a toast and clinking glasses? Seriously? This person must have been brought up in a very bland and passionless lifestyle.
