The Corona Beer Brand Was Damaged
The Corona beer logo has a crown on it because the word “corona” means “crown” in Spanish. Coincidentally, the coronavirus got its name from the spikes on the surface of the virus particles that look like a crown.
Many people confused and associated the Corona beer brand with the new virus when they first heard of it. Some even have believed that the virus was spread by drinking beer. This mistaken belief had negative effects on beer sales as various sources have reported different results.
