Going vegan has been catching on in the worlds of food and fashion, so why not automobiles? Bentley is now offering protein leather, or pleather, as the immediate option.
But Bentley and its bespoke division, Mulliner, are also looking into more esoteric sources, such as mushrooms and jellyfish, that have the cachet of rarity and the feel of luxury.
