Cindy Crawford

The supermodel’s journey with choosing to give birth at home is a very interesting one, about which she opened up on an Instagram Live with a doula ( they are professional labor assistants that are there to help you and your partner with emotional and physical support during the pregnancy, childbirth and in the postpartum period). Cindy said that she never considered the option of home birth, it was as if it did not exist because it never crossed her mind.

Yet, during her pregnancy, she got really close to a midwife, who presented her with all of her options, including this one. Learning more about what a home birth entails she chose to go with this option. She delivered both her children (now aged 22 and 20) at home. She also said that she would never try to convince anyone else to have one, but that it is nice to know it is an option that is available to the mothers who may want to.

Hilary Duff

In 2020, young star Hillary Duff lead a tour of her home for Architectural Digest, where she also showed the room in which she birthed her daughter. The “Younger” star (though you may remember her as starring in “Lizzie McGuire” or “A Cinderella Story”) talked about her at home birth experience on a podcast, where she defined it as “overall positive”, but also very lengthy. She was in labor for a really long time before she finally gave birth, which was apparently the easier part of the experience. Despite her long labor, she claimed she would do it again if she had the chance.

Demi Moore

The 59 year old actress who delighted us in the sitcom “General Hospital” and the amazing movie “Ghost” has had all her three children at home. When she was married to actor Bruce Willis, they had three children together, which are now 33, 30, and 28.
