4. When a Roomba does the opposite of cleaning
After so many weird but funny situations when AI was more of a clumsy gadget, nothing can surprise me anymore. But let’s continue our story, I guess everybody wants their house to look and smell great. Who doesn’t want a smart gadget that can help you out with cleaning, especially after a long day when you’re feeling drained and you can barely move? That’s it! The Roomba vacuum is the magic tool everybody should have. Did you know the story about how Jesse Newton got his entire house full of dog poop because the vacuum decided to mess with it instead of cleaning?
Apparently, the device was initially set to begin its cleaning schedule at 1 a.m., but in the meantime, the family puppy left a gift on the rug. The Roomba began its routine and spread the poop around the whole house, leaving a “nice surprise” for Jesse in the morning. Haha! Poor guy, I can just picture the look on his face when he stumbled on his little Roomba’s masterpiece. All that mess and maybe even worse, the smell, must have been a rude wake-up call.
