Kamala Harris is no stranger to activism.

According to a 2004 interview published in Los Angeles Times, Kamala Harris has a long history with activism, she joined her parents while they marched for civil rights in Oakland and Berkeley, California since she was just a kid in a stroller.

Her mother recalled asking her then-toddler, Kamala, what does she want, and her two-year-old daughter strongly answered: ‘FEE-DOM!’
Additionally, Kamala was 12 years old when she moved with her mother and younger sister to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where her mother was a teacher at the Jewish General Hospital.

Kamala and her younger sister, Maya, led a demonstration in front of their apartment building in Montreal when they were just 13 and 11 years old. The two protested against the policy that didn’t allow children to play on the lawn. Their protest eventually led to the change of policy, so the two girls got what they wanted.
