Tylenol is the best OTC medication to help you with your vaccine side effects, according to experts!

If you’re struggling with not-so-pleasant vaccine side effects, Tylenol might be your savior and the best option for pain relief. Also, it’s inexpensive and easy to find, and you probably have it in your home already.

As Adam Brady, MD, an infectious disease specialist and chair of the Samaritan Coronavirus Task Force, shared with Samaritan Health Services, he recommends Tylenol for making vaccine side effects less aggressive.

Tylenol won’t affect the vaccine’s efficacy or your immune response, as it is made with acetaminophen, an analgesic to relieve pain, and antipyretic to reduce fever.

As William Schaffner, MD, an infectious disease expert at Vanderbilt University, shared with a local Fox affiliate in St. Louis, if you experience post-vaccination side effects, you can safely take acetaminophen to relieve pain and reduce fever.

According to Anthony Fauci, MD, and White House chief COVID adviser, “If someone gets achy or gets a headache and it’s really bothering you… I would have no trouble taking a couple of Tylenol for that.”

However, if you’re in pain or having serious discomfort, Fauci recommends taking two Tylenol every eight hours or so.
