Stop Doing These Rude Things Every Time You Go to a Restaurant

You’re stacking plates and cups after you’ve finished your meal.

Even though you might feel like you’re helping the server by doing this, the truth is you’re not. As Leslie Kalk, a restaurant and hospitality coach for more than 30 years has explained, doing this is considered a violation of etiquette.

“Stacking plates when done sends a signal to other diners that the waitstaff is not tending to the table properly and the act of doing so exposes the stackers as inexperienced diners,” she explains.

Moreover, the restaurant staff usually have their own system for clearing the table, so you stacking the plates and utensils usually disturbs that system. Therefore, after you’ve finished your meal, just relax and let the waitstaff clear the table.

  1. Only N95 masks and others of medical grade are marginally effective at blocking the 1 micron virus… The cloth and paper masks are useless, and the only purpose they serve is to show obedience..
To the ones pulling the strings , it is all about control..
But , by all means , be a good sheep and don’t get in trouble…

I’ve probably just been flagged and marked ))

  2. Most of these are common courtesy to anyone who has common sense. Granted, that is becoming more and more rare with each generation. However, not making a toast and clinking glasses? Seriously? This person must have been brought up in a very bland and passionless lifestyle.

  3. so helpful, two things that I have been guilty, stacking dishes and utensils, thinking I am being helpful, and arguing over the check. lessons learned…..thank youl
