Stop Doing These Rude Things Every Time You Go to a Restaurant

You’re asking for major changes to a menu item when ordering.

Don’t get me wrong, not wanting olives in your salad is one thing or other vegetables you might not like. It’s also ok to request your dressing being put on the side. However, all the requests have a limit.

It is considered very rude to ask the chef to do everything on your list of demands, as the president of Mannersmith Etiquette Consulting has explained. If you don’t like certain things from the menu, just don’t order them, instead of asking for vegetables glazed in garlic over rice, or salads with four other ingredients that are not on the list.

Even though there’s no rule on how many changes you’re allowed to make, Maryanne Parker, professional etiquette coach and author of Manor of Manners, recommends limiting yourself to a maximum of three.

If you feel like you’d need a lot more changes than that, she recommends simply choosing another dish.

  1. Only N95 masks and others of medical grade are marginally effective at blocking the 1 micron virus… The cloth and paper masks are useless, and the only purpose they serve is to show obedience..
To the ones pulling the strings , it is all about control..
But , by all means , be a good sheep and don’t get in trouble…

I’ve probably just been flagged and marked ))

  2. Most of these are common courtesy to anyone who has common sense. Granted, that is becoming more and more rare with each generation. However, not making a toast and clinking glasses? Seriously? This person must have been brought up in a very bland and passionless lifestyle.

  3. so helpful, two things that I have been guilty, stacking dishes and utensils, thinking I am being helpful, and arguing over the check. lessons learned…..thank youl
