Restaurants running at full capacity.

Oh, how much we miss simply sitting down at a restaurant and enjoying a delicious meal with our loved ones. It’s definitely the simple things that we miss the most and would like to have them back after COVID-19.

However, even in a post-COVID-19 world, our dining experience will likely look a lot different than we’ve been used to before the pandemic. As Jason Berry, co-founder of KNEAD Hospitality + Design shared with Food & Wine, even after the pandemic is over, he expects to see restaurants and bar areas of restaurants running at a limited capacity.

As vaccination rates are increasing in the United States, many states are making more room for indoor dining available for clients. But even though we’re finally starting to go back to traditional indoor dining as the number of infections decreased, outdoor dining and other COVID-19 creative solutions will still be put in place.

According to Kathy Hollinger, president and CEO of the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, these new streams of revenue are not going anywhere.

“There are going to be so many more options and a larger reach in terms of audience for the chefs and restaurants to meet the foodie where they are,” Hollinger shared with the Northern Virginia Magazine.
