The “Gardening” Shirt
Melania did get quite a lot of heat for her outfit on this day, but we cannot say that she looked bad. If anything, the outfit looked really good on her, despite the price point. When she welcomed the Boys and Girls Club of Washington back to the White House to continue the legacy started by Michelle Obama, she wore a tartan blouse and pristine converse shoes.
Why did the button down garner so much bad press? Maybe because people found the blouse online and saw it cost $690. While looking quite appropriate for gardening, we do not believe such an expensive blouse had its place there.
I’m amazed that the writer was so concerned with the monitory value of her clothes. Trump doesn’t take a salary. He’s even given huge amounts of money to projects that better our country. And his friends have given huge amounts too. Other First Lady’s have cost the tax payers much more than our present First Lady. Their staff alone cost tax payers much more that Melanie’s clothes. Why don’t you write about that.
If I was going to spend all that money on clothes, it wouldn’t be anything that I saw in this article. I think that coat is ugly, the pink blouse certainly is not nice and the plaid shirt looks like a shirt you could by for $15.00 at Walmart My favorite outfit was the blue suit Melania wore at the first inauguration. That was perfect with the gloves and shoes to match.
I love her clothing, leave her alone that is stress relief. I am not a fan of her husband but I love her clothing, let her have enjoyment and spent his money.
I believe that she is a gold digger, only using Trump for her notoriety and to gain wealth. To me, she is not a very good model, and she should absolutely learn to speak better English. Everyone has his/her opinion, and that is mine. She is not a very good example of a First Lady. I will say that I am glad that she is not spending the tax payers money, using her own or a gift, that is great!
