Neat to see the few .
Interesting collection of pictures but that last one is wrong. It’s really a publicity shot done in the 60’s by Boeing in a mock-up of what their planes might be like in the future. It’s also a color picture but people like to pass it around in black and white so it looks old.
Also note the lack of seatbelts.
I knew this couldn’t be a real aircraft in the 60’s. I was a flight attendant at that time. The whole thing looks ridiculous for that time of aviation.
please resubscribe; thanks. ta
I think #8 is mislabeled. It appears to be basketball attire and one person is holding one.
Look more closely at the ball. It does come to a (dull) point. Look at the stitching.
you are both wrong, in the old days they called soccer,,, football, and they still do call soccer,,, football in the UK and Scotland, maybe all of Europe, I do not know
So that still proves that it isn’t a basketball as was postulated. It’s still football/soccer.
Looks to me like a boxing team with some of the equipment they worked out with. Notice the boxing gloves on the ground in front of the first row and also the short guy on the second row has on boxing gloves.
It is a football. Google the 1900 VMI football team for a picture. Or 1900 Michigan Wolverines. The ball in those pictures is the same as this one.
just awesome great thank you
Look At All the Room On That Pan Am Flight In The Late 60s On Economy Class,To Bad It’s Not That Way Now,,
Jeff DeWitt is correct. I flew PanAm in 1973, economy class and it was NOTHING like the picture; but is was roomier than today’s planes. I also had my first Martini flying home! PanAm was wonderful!Too bad they went under…
#18. Unless bin Laden was a cross dresser, that’s not him as second from right.
Bin Ladin is in the green shirt with the blue/purple bell bottom pants. He is next to a man in a gold jacket and striped bell bottoms. The other man is older and has a mustache. Bin Laden is clean-shaven.
Looks like a woman to me.
#2 – Yuka Flats NV (not sure I spelled that right). At that time, as a kid, we lived in Davis Dam, AZ on the river, near Bullhead City. Father was part of the dam project. We were not far (100 miles??) from the site when they began the bomb testings. Early one morning, and still totally dark outside, we were up to start the day when all of a sudden the entire area turned as bright as mid-day!!! Seriously! They had just set off a bomb test. Only lasted for a few moments, but it was awesome! Fortunately we never had to deal with the fallout, maybe because we were located much lower on the river. Something I will never forget.
Hillary is hot!
Not her legs.
Economy class looks like luxury class today!
Its an athletic club.
In photo #8, the photo is of a men’s sports club. Some of the men seated in the front are wearing sashes like boxers, the man on the right is holding a medicine ball and the man on the left has a pair of Indian clubs in front of him. There are old style boxing gloves on the floor in front. These clubs were the rage at the turn of the century, before team sports took hold. I belong to a similar club.
