Golden Opulence Sundae
This fancy sundae will cost you $1,000 and you can find it at Serendipity 3, in New York. However, if you want to eat it and pay a fortune, you need to make a reservation 48 in advance. The way I see it, you have 48 hours to realize you’re throwing away a lot of money on a sundae, but hey, who am I to judge?
The Golden Opulence Sundae even featured in an episode of “Secret Lives of the Super Rich” on CNBC, because only extravagant people would give so much money on a sundae. But what is it that makes it so expensive, you might wonder.
Well, the Golden Opulence Sundae is made with three scoops of Tahitian vanilla ice cream with 23-karat gold leaves on top, almonds, caviar, and some kind of sugar-forged orchid that takes more than 8 hours to be built. Additionally, the sundae is served in a $350 Baccarat crystal goblet with an 18-karat gold spoon.
But still, is it worth it? It’s up to you to decide…
