You never gossip.
Let’s face it, everyone gossips a little from time to time. However, it’s important to not make a habit out of it, so you won’t be known as the neighborhood’s gossiper. Be certain that someone who knows the dirt about everyone in the neighborhood, will likely know everything about you as well, and they will likely share it with other people as well.
So if a neighbor comes to you with gossip about another neighbor, try to refocus the conversation on them, and ask them what they’re planning on growing in their garden this year.
After all, you’re not a child anymore, and it’s important to build healthy relationships with the people close to you, including your neighbors. Also, you might need their help later on, so it’s important to have a good relationship with them.
