Communication is important in every relationship, including romantic, personal, or professional ones. After all, the “good fences make good neighbors” quote is very much true, don’t you agree?
It’s important to respect boundaries, but in order to know them, you need to be a good communicator. Make sure to discuss shared interests, such as troublesome trees, drainage ditches or shared fences, in order to avoid future conflicts.
Also, make sure not to be that grumpy neighbor that doesn’t talk to anyone or doesn’t even say ‘hello’ to little children. And don’t forget to bring cookies when someone new is moving into the neighborhood.
