Full moon rising over the North Cascades at dusk. Smoke from a nearby wildfire created haze that created this erie moonrise. Erosion from glaciers has formed the North Cascades into one of the steepest and most rugged mountain ranges in the lower 48. Some peaks have an astounding 8,000+ feet of elevation gain, like Mt.
