This board was made in the 1960s by the same man who invented Ugg boots. The name for this type of board-“Paipo”-comes from the word “Pae Poo,” Hawaiian for “headfirst.” Heritage Auctions’ Marsha Dixey says that Stedman’s name was referenced several times in her research, so that adds to its value.
