Johnny Depp claimed that the actress “roundhouse punched” him, which resulted in him having a bruise under his eye. He also said that during their fight, he thought she hurt her foot on a door and when he went to check if she was alright, “she kicked the bathroom door into my head”.
He then added that he was “completely taken aback by such a corrosive and horrific move.” As it was later proven by their couple therapist, while both of them had a toxic attitude, Depp was the one that tried every time to de-escalate the conflicts.
