The current COVID-19 situation in the United States has reached new levels of severity, with an average of 200,000 new cases every day, far exceeding the numbers from the first wave in spring and summer. There are more than 14.5 COVID-19 cases nationwide at this moment, and almost 300,000 deaths.
These numbers are very concerning and we still have to wait a little more until the vaccine will be available for mass use. As a result, some of the most ‘affected’ states are advised by the White House to reintroduce some of the tactics that have proven to be very efficient in the previous months, such as closing restaurants and bars, limiting business hours, closing non-essential businesses and even implement stay-at-home orders in some areas.
According to the White House coronavirus task force, some states are doing worse than others and can’t control the pandemic. One of those states is Massachusetts, and it’s been advised to ‘roll back’ on reopening until they manage to keep the very high number under control.
