Additionally, the highest number of COVID-19 deaths has been recorded on January 7, with more than 4,000 a day, as data from The Washington Post showed.

Robert Redfield, MD, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has talked about the riots in the U.S. Capitol in an interview with the news site McClatchy and even said that: “I do think you have to anticipate that this is another surge event. You had largely unmasked individuals in a non-distanced fashion, who were all through the Capitol.”
