1. California
California used to be the COVID-19 epicenter in the summer, but things are not so good right now either. As Mark Ghaly, MD, the state’s health and human services secretary has stated in a press conference on Nov. 10, ICU admissions in the state have increased by 30 percent in the last two weeks.
According to Ghaly, three counties (San Diego, Sacramento, Stanislaus) will go back to more ‘extreme’ restrictions, including banning indoor dining in restaurants and indoor activities such as gyms and religious institutions.
If coronavirus cases continue to surge in the state, more counties are expected to implement more restrictive measures, said Ghaly.
2. Minnesota
Minnesota has now seen a 185 percent surge in the last ten days, leaving the Midwest as one of the most ‘affected’ areas in the U.S., according to The New York Times. Gov. Tim Walz decides to begin reopening in the state as of Nov.10, even though the numbers in the state are very disturbing.
He announced during a press conference that as of Nov. 13 all bars and restaurants (indoor and outdoor) will be limited to 50 percent capacity and closing hours to 10 p.m. Additionally, public social gatherings are now limited to ten people, from a maximum of three households. When it comes to weddings and funerals, the capacity is limited to 50 people. All the restrictions mentioned above will be implemented as of Nov. 27.
According to Walz, these restrictions are expected to have the ‘biggest’ impact on the number of cases, without causing massive disruption in the state.
3. Maryland
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan stated on Nov. 11 that the COVID-19 numbers are rapidly entering the ‘danger zone’ and a new series of public health restrictions are about to be implemented again.
As of Nov. 11, all restaurants and bars in the state will operate on a 50 percent capacity (the number was reduced from 75) and indoor gatherings will be limited to 25 people. Additionally, non-essential travels between states are not recommended to the areas that have the highest number of infections.
In Baltimore, the officials took things a little further and limited restaurants, bars, and religious facilities capacities to 25 percent, and social gathering to 10 people.
“We’re now seeing widespread community transmission,” Hogan said. “More people are getting infected with the virus, more people are being hospitalized and going into intensive care, and more people are dying.”
4. Wisconsin
Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers implores the state’s residents to stay home, following a recent spike in the number of COVID-19 positive tests and new cases registered in the past few weeks. “Help us protect our communities from this highly contagious virus and avoid further strain on our hospitals,” Evers has stated on Oct. 21.
The recent surge has ‘forced’ indoor businesses to operate at a 25 percent capacity. On Nov. 10, Evers advised Wisconsin’s residents to stay at home and mentioned all the measures that must be followed in order to curb the spread of the virus. However, Evers didn’t order any restrictions and didn’t mention any penalties for those who don’t follow the rules.
“Wisconsin, this is serious,” Evers said. In his statement, he urged people to try to stay at home as much as possible, adding that it’s not safe to go out nor to have people over. Additionally, things are not expected to improve any time soon, so he advised people to cancel dinner parties, gatherings, happy hours, and play dates at your home, and switch to virtual meetings instead.

I’m ashamed of Kim Reynolds. Most Iowans have already been doing what is right in public; she honored us by trusting us to do so. Now, she is becoming someone I don’t trust. Around the globe, lockdown populations vs non-lockdown populations are showing quite identical results. So why the lockdowns???
Overall, most are run by Democrats and the ones run by Republicans will do it in a responsible way!

When you see mail in ballots and 99.9% were for Biden it only confirms my suspicion of an illicit campaign. How can we prevent our country from being taken over by Socialism and the Communism?

Haven’t you all heard it has been proven that masks don’t work at all!!!! The survival rate on this virus is about 99.99 on people under 30 and 99.8 on people 35 to 55 and about 98.7 on healthy people 55 to 70. the odds are good above 70 too if you don’t have health problems that predispose you to having more trouble. It is those people of which I am one that needs to stay away from crowds, have your groceries delivered, order some good books delivered from Amazon, try a new recipe or two or garden if you are in a warm state. The majority of people need to get back to work and save our small businesses which are the lifeblood of our country. What we have to WAKE UP to is the Democrat party used fear tactics to hype this virus up to plague proportions to manipulate us into giving up our freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution. No more people have died from this than the flu. They lumped flu deaths in with Covid to up the death count and also heart attack victims, car and motorcycle deaths ect. This whole thing is a sad hoax.
If the medical experts say that’s what we need we need to follow their recommendations to beat this awful vires. That includes Louisiana.

Typical liberal democrat response. You cannot lockdown. People have bills that must be paid. Do you think the government is going to pay your bills. Will you pay my bills. Of course not. I’m going to work, I’ll wear a mask I’ll even wash my hands, but if you think that lockdowns and those things will end this virus you are sadly mistaken.
Masks don’t really work. I’ve done the research. Keeping distance and washing your hands does. Protect the most vulnerable and let the rest of us live our lives normally.
Show the evidence of your research. Masks do work. Why do you think health professionals have been wearing masks all these years while working with their patients during procedures? All the evidence I have seen says they work to reduce the risks….

I am truly frightened by the large numbers of Trump supporters that have been and are believing his lies. People are dying in larger numbers than in any other time and so many people refuse to believe it is real. He is a con man and a criminal, stealing from his own supporters. It is all theater.

Trump has been a President of the people.. He has accomplished a lot in the four years he was in office and would have done more if those Democrats had been worried about this country instead of being bought out by China. Trying to impeach the sitting president for the garbage they tried to sell the American people, was just a waste of time and money!
