George and Amal’s love story is the kind you only see in movies. Before meeting George, Amal first met his parents at a dinner party in 2013. Later that night, she met her now-husband and they knew instantly they were meant to be together.
They say that true love tends to find its way to you, but George and Amal really proved the saying is true. He was known as Hollywood’s heartthrob while she was an excellent humanitarian lawyer, however, this time something was different.
George Clooney said during an appearance on My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman that he got a call from his agent the day he met her now-wife, telling him that he met a woman who will also be coming to his house, adding that he’ll marry this woman one day.
His agent was right, George did marry Amal in 2014 in an intimate ceremony in Venice, Italy, and three years later, the couple was blessed with twins, Ella and Alexander. The actor also told in an interview that it took 52 years for him to find the love of his life, but it was definitely worth the wait.
Even though they have different careers, the two found a way to work together in the fight for global human rights.
