Vermont

Vermont is currently in the orange risk level, with 19.7 cases per 100,000 residents, but the state’s officials have done everything in their powers to keep the numbers low in the last few months, including banning private gatherings, implementing a mask mandate, and imposing quarantines on visitors. All these measures kept the state among those with the lowest infection rates.

However, Vermont Gov. Phil Scott considered it is time for new regulations in the state, so he issued a new order, bars and restaurants must close at 10 p.m. every day, and youth sports have been suspended in the state. In a press conference on Dec. 4, Phil Scott talked about the vaccine being the light at the end of the tunnel, adding that the state’s residents should continue to wear masks, avoid traveling, and practice all the safety measures until the vaccine will be available for mass use.
