Charlie Chaplin

Charlie Chaplin, for as famous as he was, he also had luck with ladies, despite not having luck with marriage. The actor married 4 times and had eleven children out of all these marriages. Unfortunately, two of them have died before their father did. Norman Spencer Chaplin was his first ever born and he tragically passed away three days after he was born, back in 1919. Years later in 1968, Charlie Chaplin Jr. died from a blood clot that reached his lungs at the age of 42. What is even more heartbreaking is that Charlie Chaplin couldn’t attend his child’s funeral as he was out of the country at the time.

Eric Clapton

If you’re a fan of English rock and blue you have definitely heard of Eric Clapton, but even without being a fan his name still rings a bell to most of us as the 76 year old is considered to be one of the best guitarists of all time! However, his son Connor Clapton had met an early death, falling out of a 53rd floor open window of a building in Manhattan. The grieving dad wrote the song “Tears in Heaven” in his honor.

Prince

Prince had a son with one backup singer Mayte Garcia in 1996. He was named Boy Gregory and unfortunately, he passed away just a week after he was born. He was born with Pfeiffer Syndrome, which is a genetic disorder that causes the fusion of certain skull bones. With proper treatment and if the syndrome doesn’t cause any complications, children born with it can now live like everyone else, yet Prince’s baby boy was not as lucky. Prince also tragically passed away 20 years later in April of 2016.
