The Johnson & Johnson vaccine should be seen as Pfizer’s and Moderna’s equivalent, according to experts.

He also explained that even though the Johnson & Johnson vaccine proved to be less effective and indicated a short-term immune response, it can become stronger in time. According to Osterholm, “Protection got better the farther you got out from the vaccination.”

“If we had followed this several more months, it might have been an equal, if not superior, the vaccine to what we’re seeing with Moderna and Pfizer,” he added.
