5. Alana Mayo and Lena Waithe
Alana Mayo and Lena Waithe broke up two months after making their marriage public.
“After careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways,” they said in a statement. “We have nothing but support for one another and ask that you respect our privacy during this time.”
6. Pamela Anderson and Jon Peters
The two probably had the shortest marriage in the history of celebrity marriages. They got married on January 20 and called it quits nine days after.
“I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union,” Anderson said in a statement. “We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to reevaluate what we want from life and from one another,” she added.
“Life is a journey and love is a process. With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalization of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process.”
Pamela was the one who wanted to get married, and she proposed to Peters over a text.
“Needless to say that when she texted me that she wanted to get married, it was kind of a dream come true even though I was engaged to someone else and the lady was moving in,’’ Peters wrote.
“I dropped everything for Pam. She had almost $200,000 in bills and no way to pay it so I paid it and this is the thanks I get. There’s no fool like an old fool.”
7. Travis Mills and Madelaine Petsch
“Riverdale” star Madelaine Petsch and musician Travis Mills have called it quits after a 3 years relationship. Mills confirmed in February that they split, calling their breakup “the most non-superficial and grounding experience in my life.”
“While it pains me our journey has come to a close, I mean it when I say I’m so incredibly grateful to have shared the last three years with someone as compassionate, smart & wonderful as Madelaine,” Mills wrote on Instagram. “The personal growth made possible by our time together I wouldn’t trade for anything.”
“The highest highs were made better, the lowest lows were livable, because of her,” Mills added. “I’ve learned so much about myself & life from that unconditional love and support.”
The fans suspected something about their split, when Petsch attended an Oscars after-party without Mills. Even though the two broke up months ago, Mills kept all their couple photos on Instagram.
8. Peter Weber and Madison Prewett
“The Bachelor” couple has also split in 2020. They announced their breakup on Instagram, just two days after the season 24 premiere.
“Madi, thank you for your patience and unconditional love,” Weber said in his caption. “You’re the epitome of a woman who carries herself with grace, stands by what she believes in, and loves wholeheartedly. That love is something I feel so grateful to have felt and will take a piece of that with me always going forward.”
“As Peter and I have decided to go our separate ways, I am confident that we will both move in the direction of our purpose and never forget that God has a plan in all things,” she wrote. “I will always love and respect him. I am convinced our paths were meant to cross and we are both better because they did. @pilot_pete you are an amazing guy and I’m thankful for you. I will always be your biggest fan,” Prewett said.
Even though things seemed very friendly at first between the two, they got really messy after some time, when Madison complained about his relationship with another Bachelor contestant, saying that it was very “confusing” for her.
