Venus Williams
Tennis star Venus Williams was involved in a car accident in June 2017 which left one man dead. Williams was driving in Palm Beach Garden, FL, when she rushed her entrance into an intersection, despite not having the right of way. She was hit by another car that was driving regulation.
The driver survived, but her husband, a 78-year-old man was sent to the ICU. He died two weeks later. According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Venus Williams was the one responsible for the accident.
Caitlyn Jenner
The reality TV star and Olympic champion Caitlyn Jenner was involved in a serious car accident in Malibu in February 2015. Jenner’s SUV rear-ended a white car and sent it careening into overcoming traffic, and then was crushed by a Hummer. One person was killed and the other seven were injured. Jenner wasn’t hurt.
The police said that Jenner passed the sobriety test and she claimed initially that she was being followed by the paparazzi, but the police didn’t believe her story.
Jenner later released a statement saying, “My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident. It is a devastating tragedy, and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible.”
