South Carolina ‘s Department of Health and Environmental Control announced on Friday that 770 coronavirus patients had a new one-day case record. These newly confirmed cases bring the total state COVID count to 17,170, suggesting a positive test rate of over 14 percent during this last round of testing.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that areas under 5% should be tested positive for two weeks before re-opening their economies. In other words, it may be time to rethink our re-opening strategies here and everywhere across the U.S. with increasing numbers of cases.
