NO ONE Should Do These 15 Things on Thanksgiving. Do You?

1. You shouldn’t do the grocery shopping at the last minute

No matter how busy you are, and trust me, we all are, you need to do the grocery shopping at least one week before the holiday. By leaving the shopping for the night before Thanksgiving you’ll only be more stressed and disorganized.

Additionally, there’s a good chance you won’t find every item on your shopping list in the supermarket, because we all know how crowded it is during this time of the year. The good news is you can avoid all of the things mentioned above by simply shopping off-hours and preferably one week before Thanksgiving.

2. You shouldn’t neglect planning

Before inviting people over to your house at 2 PM, make sure the turkey will be ready. An for that, you need to plan ahead. Also, don’t expect people to arrive at your house full, because they usually arrive hungry, so not having the food ready for serving will be a big mistake.

And don’t get me wrong, no one expects you to serve the Thanksgiving dinner the second they walk in the door, but you can serve a few light appetizers until the turkey will be ready. Also, it would be recommended to start planning the food the night before Thanksgiving day, so you’ll avoid dealing with your hungry family.

3. You overcooked the turkey

Most people dream all year long the turkey they’re about to enjoy for Thanksgiving. Don’t ruin their expectations by overcooking it or undercooking it. If you don’t trust your cooking skills, there are plenty of tutorials online that will help you prepare the most delicious turkey.

If you just don’t like to cook or you don’t have enough time, you could always opt for ordering one that’s already cooked or ask for help. It’s way better than serving an overcooked/ undercooked turkey.
