It’s a great lie when you don’t feel like going out. It also has the additional advantage of looking like you don’t have a choice in the matter, so you’re not only choosing to be a little loner.
34. “I’ve been totally slammed.”
You’ve had more than enough time to call back or help out with the errand that your friend is asking you about, but you’d rather not do it and then pretend like you’re so busy with a million other things that you’ve somehow taken all your time and energy.
