This year’s flu season did not exist, thanks to the masks.
As you might know already, face masks have been very important in helping us control the course of the coronavirus pandemic and keeping other viruses at bay. According to Anthony Fauci, mask-wearing has become a habit for all of us this year, and if we take a look at the data, the flu season did not exist this year thanks to the masks.
Even though we’ve taken all the public health measures in our attempt to control the spread of COVID-19, we managed to keep the flu season at bay this year. And the United States wasn’t the only country that reported a significant drop in influenza infections thanks to the face masks, Fauci added.
The same thing happened in Australia, where the flu almost didn’t exist this year, mainly due to mask-wearing and proper handwashing.
