The super group were together through most of the early 1960s, until individual careers took precedent. Most people knew the big 3, but Peter Lawford was a brother-in-law of John F Kennedy, and Joey Bishop actually lead the group. The group kept their composure not falling into drugs and alcohol but were known to need security to keep the crazy female fans from them. It got so bad, they usually snuck in and out of locations and had to check into multiple venues under fake names anywhere in the country besides when they headlined in Las Vegas. Part of their contracts in Las Vegas meant being at the hotel/casinos they did their shows at. There had been at least a few incidents of women being in their hotel rooms unauthorized to a point they had security guarding their rooms 24/7.
