Sometime in the middle of the twentieth century, a married couple veered off the road near the “Green Bridge” on Route 11/Brownville Road in Millinocket, and their car went down an embankment. The man went for help and when he returned, his wife was nowhere to be found. She has since been spotted in ghostly form walking along the road, and has since been dubbed the “White Lady.” Sound far-fetched?
