You’ll find refreshing peace and quiet
An obvious advantage of going anywhere with fewer people is less noise, but the real joy of peaceful open space is still overlooked. Since moving from Barcelona to Palatka, Florida, J.R. Duren said he wanted to trade the concrete jungle for miles of trees and clear sky. The serenity and spaciousness of the small towns make relaxed practices even more serene, whether it’s meditation, yoga or relaxing on the balcony with a cup of tea.

i’ve lived in the rio grande valley, texas. its hot as blazes, but its very cheap to live here. san benito is 35,000 people and that’s big enough for me. of course there very little opportunity here, but i’m retired and can’t afford to live anywhere else. so i guess this is where i’m going to die. every place has its pluses and minuses……….there is no utopia……….bummer!
