Create a to-do list the night before

It is more helpful than you’d think to set up a to-do list the night before, according to many organization experts. Also, you can use certain apps that will help you stay on track with your tasks.

“Your list should be given the same weight as your as your email inbox or calendar,” says Wolf. She recommends using OmniFocus, Wunderlist, or Todoist as they’ll help you be more organized and remember everything you have to do throughout the day.

“Eat that frog”

You probably heard the Mark Twain quote before but here it is: “Eat a live frog first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.”

The same goes for tasks. Start your day with the task that scares you the most, or the most important one and you’ll have a very productive day afterward, without it weighing on your mind.

“It’s the best advice to get the hardest task done early,” adds Wolf.

Make sure the house is clean before leaving for work

“I love to come home to a cleared off kitchen table, couch, and cleared out sink,” says Wolf. “Those are the three main areas of my home that makes me feel that I can do whatever work I have to when I get home, I can relax on the couch, or I can interact with foods without having to do dishes when I return,” she says.

Additionally, make sure to leave the house clean every morning when you leave for work, so you can relax as soon as you arrive home, without having to do chores around the house after a full day at the office.
