As with Arizona, Iowa was also among the first states that have agreed to take part of the FEMA’s Lost Wages Assistance program regarding COVID-19. The office of Gov. Kim Reynolds has said in a statement that “Iowans whose unemployment is the result of the pandemic, and who are eligible for at least $100 in benefits per week, will qualify for an additional $300 weekly benefits retroactive to the week ending Aug. 1.”
