Kamala Harris loves to read.
Back in 2019, Kelly Jensen of Book Riot asked several presidential candidates to speak about their favorite books. Kamala Harris did not avoid the question and was the first Democratic candidate to name not one, but five of her favorite books.
She considers these five books to have been the most influential in her life, therefore, it’s worth mentioning them here. She loved Native Son by Richard Wright very much, followed by The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan, the classic Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison, The Lion, the Witch, and last but not least, the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.
