Kamala Harris wrote three books.
Kamala Harris published her first book ‘Smart on Crime: A Career Prosecutor’s Plan to Make Us Safer’ in 2009. The book is about criminal justice reform. She published her second book during her 2019 presidential campaign. ‘The Truths We Hold: An American Journey’ included more of her personal philosophy and the most important steps in her career.
According to Harris, “A patriot is not someone who condones the conduct of our country whatever it does, but someone who fights every day for the ideals of the country, whatever it takes.”
Later in 2019, she also released ‘Superheroes Are Everywhere,’ an illustrated children’s book, for children aged between three to seven. Through her book, she wanted children to understand that being a hero is more than wearing a cape, and it’s rather about choice and character.
As written in the book, heroes are those people that stand for what is right, and we should all follow this example.
