19. Laura Bell Bundy

The 38-year-old actress Laura Bell Bundy announced on her Instagram account that she tested positive to COVID-19 on March 25. She explained waking up with a severe headache on March 12, however, she assumed it was just a hangover, as she drank the night before at an event. But it wasn’t a hangover, as it turns out, she had COVID-19.

Nonetheless, Laura self-isolated at home since having that headache, and she began experiencing other coronavirus symptoms like sore throat, chest tightness and shortness of breath. Soon after, she decided to get tested, and she was right to do so because the test confirmed that she contracted the virus.

“The doctor said, ‘I’m going to go ahead and get you tested for coronavirus,’ and I believe that the reason to test me was because I had a preexisting heart condition, so it put me at high risk as opposed to your average person,” Bundy told Variety. “That was March 20, and over the weekend I didn’t have any symptoms, so I thought, ‘I’m a hypochondriac, I’m hallucinating, I just have acid reflux, that’s the feeling in my chest. I must be crazy.’ And then on Monday morning he called me with the result, that I had it.”

Her husband has the symptoms as well, even though he didn’t get tested, it was pretty clear that he had COVID-19 as well.

“It’s very, very scary. Of course, I’m scared. My husband also has symptoms,” she said, adding, “My belief is that more people have this than they realize, including carriers. I was tested, but many people can’t get tested.”

20. Boris Johnson

The UK Prime Minister Borris Johnson announced on Twitter on March 27 that he tested positive to the novel coronavirus.

“I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus,” he wrote.

However, his situation has gotten worse and worse every day, and 10 days after contracting the virus, he was taken to London’s St Thomas’ Hospital.

He stated that staff at St Thomas’ would “have cared for him as they would have cared for anybody in this country,” which was “one of the things that makes me so proud that the NHS is there for us all”.
